TEELS initiative Tasmania

Tasmanian Energy Efficiency Loan Scheme (TEELS)

The TEELS scheme has been extended to 30 April 2019

TEELS is a joint initiative of the Tasmanian Government and Aurora Energy to assist people with the purchase of energy efficient products.

“Due to its overwhelming popularity, the Tasmanian Energy Efficiency Scheme (TEELS) for households and small businesses has been extended and will now run until 30 April 2019, or until the additional $20 million finance pool is exhausted. The Small Business purchases between $10,001 - $40,000 component of the scheme has now closed.”

Many of our customers have taken advantage of this incentive to allow them do installation earlier than anticipated or to keep savings in their own bank account longer, while taking advantage of the 3 years interest free. The maximum loan amount is $10,000 per working adult in the household, so some couples have been approved for $20,000.
